Graduated from Cinema and Television program, Tarık is a 25-year-old young man who lives with his mum and his older brother. Strongly influenced by the films of Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Tarkovsky, Tarık uses some of their signature scenes in his experimental short films.
In this self-mocking odyssey, a filmmaker’s lofty cinematic aspirations clash with the mundane realities of existence. Playfully mirroring Andrei Tarkovsky’s meditative style, Bulut Kırbaş finds clever ways to express the sorrows of a young director who hits the disillusioning wall of daily life.
