Writer Dan falls in love with Alice, a young American living in London. A year later, Dan falls for photographer Anna, but accidentally introduces her to Larry, a dermatologist, via a dating website. As time goes by, the relationships of both couples become more and more complicated and deceitful.
Director Mike Nichols has always been closely aligned with the theatre, and some of his best films, like Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, have been adaptations from the stage. Nichols lends his actor-magic to Clive Owen, Julia Roberts, Jude Law and Natalie Portman for this English play adaptation.
