Adam Bell is a history college professor. He is a somber man, largely because he is stuck in a routine, which includes a relationship with his girlfriend Mary. While watching a rental movie, he spots an actor who looks like him. These two identical men’s encounter will completely change their lives.
This mind-twisting thriller from Québécois director Denis Villeneuve is more modest in scale than his later big Hollywood films Sicario and Blade Runner 2049, but it is no less sinister or stylish. Adapted from Portuguese author José Saramago (Blindness) and inspired by Lynch and Cronenberg.
