In the suburbs of Ituzaingo, Argentina, a group of twenty-something slackers wander around the neighborhood, watch videos, and listen to rock. Two of the gang, Gus and Pao, are together… kind of. But they must make a vital decision when Pao becomes pregnant.
Argentina’s answer to Slacker, Raúl Perrone scuzzy, lo-fi feature—a cult hit of the ’90s—follows a group of young people as they ramble through the suburbs of Ituzaingó. The father of Argentine independent cinema, Perrone showed what was possible with simply a VHS camera and willing friends.
