On an island in the middle of the ocean, inhabited by men and women-frogs, Nora, a beautiful Russian spy, wants revenge for the betrayal of her lover, the artist Tibor.
Things quickly start to get pretty freaky in this froggy short from Spanish underground filmmaker and painter Adolfo Arrieta. Shot on 16mm film, Grenouilles melds the iconography of sci-fi with the textures of home movie-making in this playful experiment from the sadly underknown artist.
