Heidi is an orphan girl who is taken by her aunt to live with her elderly Grandfather in the high Alpine mountains. Her Grandfather is initially resistant to the idea of looking after Heidi but a strong bond quickly develops as they get to know each other.
This spirited adaptation of Johanna Spyri’s 1881 novel boasts a starry supportive cast (Max Von Sydow! Diana Rigg! Geraldine Chaplin!), who flock around the charming newcomer Emma Bolger. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Swiss Alps, Heidi is sure to captivate children and adults alike.
