Erasmo Chambi is a Bolivian migrant who survives on the outskirts of Buenos Aires by giving lucha libre wrestling performances in small local clubs, bringing his own hand-made ring to each show. Back home, he was a legendary wrestler named “El Ciclon.” Now, he trains his son to become his successor.
Marcelo Charras’ up-close-and-personal documentary on the world of local wrestling in Buenos Aires intimately studies the intergenerational bond among the tight-knit community of Bolivian immigrants. The love between a former champion and his son is embodied by hours of blood, sweats and tears.
