Lucille, an introverted eleven year old girl, lives with her parents in a public swimming pool, where they are caretakers. She refuses to brave the deep end, as she rejects her own confused and ambiguous desires for the swimming instructor.
In this cinematic curiosity, the swimming pool becomes a bizarre space where desire and anxiety lie, emphasizing the confusion of teenagehood. Through a striking color palette and imagery, and with its aquatic, otherworldly atmosphere, this short film is a puzzling, evocative and truly unique work.
