Soon, Hussain learns that his asylum application has been rejected, forcing the couple to hide. However, Hussain starts feeling suffocated and needs to leave.

MUBI's take

Locarno-selected Low Life creates an uncanny tension between its intensely romantic love triangle and an ominous yet oneiric outside world, defined by the menacing politics of deportation. With mystic undertones, this politically charged portrait of youth explores where love and danger collide.
