Brazilian dancer Dejanira gets on the Maine-Ocean train without stamping her ticket. Two punctilious controllers try to fine her, but they cannot understand one another. Dejanira is rescued by fiery lawyer Mimi, with who she becomes friends, and together they embark on an unpredictable journey.
Drifting on nocturnal train rides towards chaos, a madcap group of unlikely companions are awakened to new epiphanies in Jacques Rozier’s offbeat adventure across France. As court disputes and bureaucratic bickering give way to camaraderie, chance encounters lead to increasingly absurdist escapades.
