MUBI's take

The unlikely alliance of a young LGBTQ+ community and small-town miners results in this witty and light-hearted political comedy. Based on a true Thatcher-era story, British director Matthew Warchus’s optimistic film conveys the high-spirited feeling of being united in a common cause.
