Thirteen-year-old teenagers Bobo and Klara (the former with an attitude and Lennon specs, the latter with a mohawk) create a garage punk band even though they can’t play an instrument. So they recruit the shy devout Christian Hedvig, who joins them because she plays classical music on the guitar.
It’s impossible not to fall under the spell of the three punk girls at the heart of this exhilarating, touching, and joyous dramedy set in 1980s Stockholm. The rock band of this coming-of-age story, based on an autobiographical graphic novel, might be average, but its members are truly the best!
