It is believed that American artist Ed Ruscha produced a mysterious object in 1979, a fake rock in the Californian desert that no one seems to be aware of. Almost 40 years later, director Pierre Bismuth sets out to find this hidden piece, with the help of a private detective and two screenwriters.
