Set in the 1950s in Maharashtra, Keshav is an affable astrologer who is inherently attached to his bicycle, his pride and joy, and everyone in the village knows it. But his life is turned upside down when two wandering thieves, Mangya and Gaiya, steal his bike.
Set in a quaint Konkan village in the ‘50s, Cycle is a fable about an idealistic world in which people believe in each other’s inherent goodness and compassion. Director Prakash Kunte’s simple storytelling and evocative visuals beautifully evoke a feeling of nostalgia in this slice-of-life drama.
