Synopsis

In a world where everyone shares their life with their double, Lucienne is in love with Paul who lost his twin and only thinks of finding him. While individualism and exclusive relationships are not tolerated in the society, her desire drives her away from her sister and probably from this man.

Desire gets weird when dutiful doppelgängers are around, and this half-hour enigma goes full Yorgos Lanthimos with its speculative universe of strict symmetry. Reprising the role of Lucienne not once but twice, Stéphane Caillard transfixes both as a biddable body and as one that aches for escape.
