Synopsis

The future of social housing is threatened by the AC30 Housing Bill. Set in London’s East End, a trio of art students are eager to raise awareness about their neighbourhood especially the lives of tenants and people who work on the estate.

MUBI's take

Capturing the humanity of public housing in the face of oppressive legislation and gentrification, this beautiful living document of London urbanism articulates the frustrations of a new working-class generation. The title, and the reggae touch, are a nod to Franco Rosso’s once-suppressed Babylon.
