In Lisbon, stories are revealed and lives become intertwined. Cathy, happily married to Pedro, is mugged by Daniel, a young junkie. Daniel’s mother, in her despair, joins a cult. An old man searches for his granddaughter, elsewhere the child roams the streets, announcing the end of the world.
A decomposing marriage and troubled youths cross paths in Lisbon in this subdued and mysterious drama, observing the different strata of Portuguese society, and exposing the moral disenchantment of our modern world. A spiritual evocation of the universal and contrasting forces that drive us.
