A journey around mutability that begins in Italy’s Abruzzi Mountains, on a territory which was damaged by 2009’s earthquake. Anna Marziano’s film explores our human adaptability in light of catastrophe, while reflecting on passages from seminal literature that imply a transitory social body.
The earthquake that shook the Italian town of Abruzzi is the backdrop for this collaborative experimental documentary. By filming images of the destroyed city, and by inviting inhabitants to read certain texts and speak of their experiences, the film prompts the resurgence of a community.
